The range of Tensai multi-channel charging stations can service between 8 and 16 NiMH rechargeable batteries size AA or AAA. The charging slots are autonomous and allow you to mix batteries of different sizes, capacity and charge state. These chargers are relatively slow (the charging current is 500 mA for AA and 250 mA for AAA batteries) but this is offset by the large number of cells you will be charging simultaneously. A unique feature of the 8- and 16-slot models is the ability to run from a car lighter adapter (the necessary power adapter is included with the charger). Sure there are other battery chargers that can work in your car while you're behind the wheel but none of them can charge that many cells simultaneously, which makes the Tensai charging stations a preferred piece of equipment for frequently traveling photographers.
Japcell is a less popular European brand owned by a Danish wholesaler of primary & rechargeable batteries; the Japcell-branded chargers are visually and functionally identical to their Tensai-branded counterparts, yet sometimes cheaper due to the wonders of international supply channels and exchange rates :)
