Panasonic BQ-CC55 Smart & Quick Charger kit

The Panasonic BQ-CC55 Smart & Quick charging kit is the autumn 2016 replacement for the very popular BQ-CC16. It is intended for professional users who require large capacity batteries and the ability to charge them quickly. The kit includes 4 pcs AA rechargeable batteries Panasonic Eneloop (mod. BK-3MCCE) with a capacity of 2000 mAh.

The BQ-CC55 charger can accommodate 1 to 4 batteries and is compatible with both AA and AAA cells. The charging slots are independent and will accept any combination of AA/AAA size batteries, regardless of their capacity.

The charging time depends on whether being 1-2 or 3-4 batteries are charged together:

• 1-2 pcs AA cells with 2000 mAh capacity will charge approx. 2 hours
• 3-4 pcs AA cells with 2000 mAh capacity will charge in approx. 4 hours
• 1-2 pcs AAA cells with 800 mAh capacity will charge in approx. 1.5 hours
• 3-4 pcs AAA cells with 800 mAh capacity will charge in approx. 3 hours

The advantage of the BQ-CC55 over its predecessor is the ability to display the approximate status of each battery during charging using colored LEDs:

• Red: 0-20%
• Yellow: 20-80%
• Green: 80-100%

The microprocessor inside the charger performs voltage control & monitoring using -ΔV (Negative Delta V) algorithm which protects batteries from overcharging. As a safety feature, a timer circuit will interrupt charging in case the maximum charging time is exceeded. Each charging slot as a separate LED status light that indicates when charging is under way or is complete. 

The Panasonic BQ-CC55 Smart & Quick plugs directly into the power socket and is world-wide compatible (100-240VAC, 50/60 Hz). The modification supplied by BVI Photo Video is Schuko/Europlug compatible.
